ICYMI! Our Insulate Middleborough workshop was jam-packed with info you can use to save hundreds on your heating bill. Watch the video of the October 22, 2022, workshop at the library.

Loie Hayes, energy efficiency specialist at Green Energy Consumers Alliance, explains weatherization and other measures you can do in your own home to get the most savings. And she explains the sizable federal rebates and tax credits coming in 2023 and how to get ready for them.

Kimberly French kicked off the workshop with stories of how much local people have saved by weatherizing and incentives available right now to help pay for weatherization. Sustainable Middleborough is launching a campaign to get as many homes as possible insulated over the next two years, especially the old, leaky houses in town.

Our state Senator Marc Pacheco stopped by to talk about his commitment to helping communities become more energy efficient. This year he introduced bill to fund energy retrofits for houses in environmental justice districts, gateway cities, and municipal utility towns like ours over ten years
